What to expect on an On Tap Tour

Every tour is unique. Here is a typical wine tour itinerary.

The fun with On Tap Tours starts from the moment you step on board our bus!

9am Pick Up

Our tours start early but we promise it's worth the early start!

You will meet your guide for the day, find out what the bus day game is and find your goodie bags as we make our way to the first winery.

We supply treats to keep you and your guests amused and bottled water to keep you safe and hydrated.

10am - First Wine Tasting

12pm - A Delicious Lunch
Generally lunch is held at the second winery or a near by restaurant. We also have lunch pre ordered so it's ready to eat when we arrive... there's no time to waste when there's more wineries to see!

2pm - Second Wine Tasting

3pm - Third Wine Tasting

5pm - Heading Home
It's time to say goodbye and start the long road home.

By this stage you'll be pretty merry and some feel the need for a good sing-a-long, we are happy to support you with some great songs to get you home.

6pm - One Last Treat!
At 6 pm we say goodbye, but not before announcing the winner of the bus day game!

Goodbyes are never forever, we are only ever another winery tour away!

FAQs

Can we buy wine at the wineries and how are my bottles stored?
Of course you can buy wine, in fact we encourage it!! All wine is sorted in the back of our bus in large storage containers to prevent movement and breakage. We also have labels and pens so you can mark your wine so no one else takes it. Ideally if the winery offers you a bag please take them up on it and label the bag.

Can we drink (wine or alcohol) on the bus?
Unfortunately that is a strict no no. We don't want to stop you from having fun but our liquor licence restricts this. Also, we like to keep the day classy.. there's nothing worse then a glass of red down your lovely outfit!

What if I have a dietary requirements, can I still have lunch?
Of course you can, but we do need to know within 24 hours of booking so that we ensure all dietary requirements are met for lunch as well as the goodie bags!

Can we do wine pairing with food?
Depending on the region you want to visit we can certainly arrange it. There is an additional cost, to cover the food side of things. We can also offer chocolate or cheese pairings on our Goulburn Valley (black caviar) tours.

How many wineries do we go to?
You will go to a maximum of 3 wineries over the course of the day. Unfortunately we can't fit any more into a day with out making our guests feel like they are being rushed on and off a bus all day. At each winery you will have more then an hour to enjoy your tasting and the surrounds of the vineyards.

Can we go to a brewery?
Yes! There is a slight additional cost for this and is not something we can do in all regions. If you are looking at Goulburn Valley (black caviar) tours, Yarra valley or Mornington, we can definitely accommodate a brewery in there.

What wine regions can we do tours of?
We do standard tours of the Goulburn Valley (black caviar), Yarra Valley and Mornington Peninsula. We can do tours of almost anywhere that suits you! If you are based in other areas we can tailor make a tour with your local area in mind!

How many can fit on a bus?
Our ideal sized group is 10-11 people. If you have a smaller group we can look to open the rest of the bus up to the public to help you fill seats. If you have a group bigger our next sizes are 14, 24 people or more on request.
